How the volunteer programme collects and handles your personal data.

This page is scaffolding, not an approved privacy policy. It has not been reviewed by legal counsel and must not be relied on. Replace it with the programme's approved policy before launch.
What this system actually stores
Stated factually so the approved policy can be written against what the software really does. When you apply, the system records:
- Your name, date of birth, gender, nationality, email address, phone numbers and postal address.
- Your language proficiency, education, employment and volunteering history, and selected skills.
- Documents you upload — identity, educational, good conduct, medical and photographic — held in private storage, not publicly readable.
- Your deployment preferences, availability dates, passport and visa status, commute method, and whether you have declared a medical condition or disability.
- An audit record of administrative actions taken on your application, including who viewed your documents and when.
Sections the approved policy must cover

- The legal basis for processing, and the named data controller.
- How long records and uploaded documents are retained, and when they are deleted.
- Who data is shared with — CAF, host-nation authorities, venue operators, background-check providers.
- Whether data is transferred outside the host countries, and under what safeguards.
- How to request access, correction, deletion or withdrawal of consent.
- How medical and disability information is handled as a special category.
- Contact details for the data protection officer and the complaints route.
